Paul Miller is the Chief Executive Officer of Cipla, South Africa. He joined Cipla Medpro in 2013, prior to which he served as the Vice President and Managing Director of Mylan in South Africa and as the Marketing Director of AstraZeneca in China.
With an MBA from the University of Wales, Paul has worked across Europe, Asia and North America before serving in leadership roles in South Africa. He brings with him more than two decades of experience of successfully building and launching innovative brands that became market leaders across therapeutic areas such as cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, respiratory and anaesthesia.
Paul is highly regarded as someone who has solid understanding of strategy, building businesses and developing people. Paul is currently spearheading the SAGA region, which comprises South Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, Uganda (Cipla QCIL) and Cipla Global Access. He’s driving the company’s steady growth momentum in the South African market, considered to be a second home market for Cipla globally.
In his spare time, Paul enjoys competing in triathlons.
Mark moved to Cipla Medpro Head Office as Chief Financial Officer in November 2012. He played a key role in the 100% acquisition by Cipla Limited (India) of the Cipla Medpro group in South Africa and the de-listing from the JSE which was concluded in July 2013.
Prior to the CFO role, Mark was the Company Secretary for the group and Financial Director of the manufacturing division (based in Durban) from 2008. He also held the position of Corporate Finance Executive and was responsible for the capital raising exercise for the factory upgrade and the sale of the non-core businesses in 2007. This is Mark’s 8th year with Cipla Medpro and he is a chartered accountant and holds a B.Com (Hons) degree from the University of Natal, Pietermaritzburg.
Prior to joining Cipla Medpro, Mark was a manager in the Corporate Finance and Auditing departments at KPMG. During his time he was part of the team that worked on the acquisition of Cipla Medpro Holdings Proprietary Limited by Enaleni Pharmaceuticals Limited (now Cipla Medpro) and the listing of Cipla Medpro on the JSE in 2005.
Herman brings over 20 years of experience to Cipla, having worked in both Management and Consultancy roles for numerous successful companies including Woolworths, Netcare, Levi Strauss and Pam Golding. He gained detailed insight and valuable experience within the property, retail and FMCG market place, placing him in an ideal position to nurture long-term relationships both internally and externally, with a clear customer centric focus.
Herman’s key skills include a strong proficiency in project management, a keen eye for strategic growth opportunities, operational efficiency, attention to detail, strategic know-how and the facilitation of day to day planning.
Praba joined us from Adcock Ingram Healthcare where she was the Head of Group Regulatory Affairs and the Responsible Pharmacist. There she managed all regulatory operations in South Africa, the SADC region, East and West Africa, as well as in India. Prior to her role at Adcock, Praba was the Head of Drug Regulatory Affairs and Responsible Pharmacist for Novartis Pharma, before which she had spent nearly ten years at Adcock Ingram in various manufacturing, QA and Regulatory Affairs positions. Praba is the responsible pharmacist for Cipla Medpro.
Simo joined Cipla Medpro as the Chief Human Resources Officer at the beginning of May 2014. Prior to that he was the Head of HR for Absa Insurance. He has worked for various organisations in different industries, these include amongst others Bidvest Logistics, Amalgamated Beverage Industries (ABI) – a soft drinks division of SABMiller, and SARS. He is versatile and adaptable as his success in different industries support this assertion.
He is passionate about people and he gets his energy from seeing people growing and becoming better than before. He maintains that performance coaching is key to attaining and maintaining high levels of individual, team and organisational performance. He promotes diversity and inclusion and believes that diverse teams can produce better outputs that are both profitable and sustainable.
Her experience lies in creating visions and building roadmaps supporting the vision, which guides technology, people and processes.
Genevieve has led the implementations of significant enterprise resource planning processes (IBM; MS and more recently, SAP) and Business Intelligence warehousing and reporting solutions (MS; Qlikview; SAS; Tableau) across large corporates in the last 10 years of her career.
In 2013, she developed and facilitated a business and financial acumen senior leadership program with Stellenbosch University Business School, aimed at C-level executives.
Genevieve is also pursuing her passion for mentoring young girls to help them thrive in the business world, particularly into the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) industries.

Yolande joined Cipla Medpro as the Vice President & Head HR – SAGA in October 2021. Yolande has over two decades of work experience in HR covering Strategy, Policies, Procedures and Compliance and has held senior leadership roles in South Africa and the African continent in a global multi-cultural environment.
Prior to joining Cipla, Yolande was with the startup organisation SV Gaming, as Director, People Operations in Nigeria. She was responsible for the development of HR policies, systems and processes encompassing the entire employee life cycle. At SABMiller / Ab InBev, Yolande’s last role was leader of the Centre of Excellence – Africa People Continuity function, consisting of Talent Attraction, Talent Management, Learning and Development, and Diversity and Inclusion.
As a change leader, Yolande played a significant role in contributing to the development, implementation and adoption of SABMiller’s processes across the African continent and later at AbInBev’s after it acquired SABMiller. Yolande has an Honours degree in Business Administration from the University of Stellenbosch and a Master’s in Organisational Development and Leadership from Fielding Graduate University in California, USA.
Yolande loves reading, spending time with her family, and travelling. Yolande has a particular fascination for abstract art and loves to visit art museums.
