For the past ten years, the Cipla Foundation has been privileged to assist and fund the infrastructure of Lehlohonolo Pre-school, a beacon of hope in our community. Together, we have witnessed the transformative power of education, nurtured young minds and are empowering the next generation.

Our partnership with Lehlohonolo Pre-school is rooted in a shared vision of creating a brighter future for our children. By providing quality early childhood education, we are laying the foundation for a strong and prosperous society.
A tribute to dedication
At the helm of this school is the indomitable principal, Martha Makhuru, with her unwavering commitment to educational excellence. Her dedication and passion have been instrumental in shaping the lives of countless young children. With over 150 children, Cipla assisted her to register the school with the education department and now receives government support for each learner. Martha says: “Cipla has been faithful. When I cry, they see my tears. They have supported us in many ways. They bought us equipment from Grow ECD and they have sent my teachers for training. Although we had been running the ECD for many years before, their help has shown us how to run it even better.” She continues: “We are located in a squatter camp, we believe our school is a big achievement. Our goal is now to increase our teaching staff and teacher aids for all children to get the education they deserve.”

As we celebrate this significant milestone, we remain committed to our partnership with Martha and Lehlohonolo Pre-school. Together, we will continue to strive for excellence, empowering young minds and building a better future for all.
